Speed Farming: Jungle Trolls <- Best Difficulty/Drops ratio out there!
I've been playing about with a couple of builds and finally have a good build for farming Jungle trolls with ease. The best thing about the jungle trolls is that 6/10 of drops are jungle troll tusks which u can sell at merchant for 20 g each (or salvage to 5 bones per tusk) which is better than the mountain troll tusks and easier place to farm :-)
as 99% of ele farm builds are all earth based and follow suit to the slow farming strategy of other professions i made a build which uses PBAoE fire spells and is a very fast killer. The strategy isn't to sit there for a minute or two tanking while u kill them off one by one: it's designed to kill at around you the quickest way possible.
Skillbar:
1.Flameburst
2.Incendiary bonds
3.Fireball
4.Inferno
5.Ether Renewal {E}
6.Armour of earth
7.Fire Attunment
8.Aura of Restoration
Attributes:
Fire : maxed to 16 (12+sup & headgear)
Energy: 12 ( 9 + sup)
Earth: 7 (6 + minor)
Strategy: ( i will refer to spells by number)
Henge of denravi->Tangle Root. when approaching first right hander hit 8 and 7 u will encouter scarabs. run to the healer crab thingy and hit 6 and 5. next cast the spells in this order to : 1,3,2,1 . Usualy this mob will die by the 3rd cast. HP and NRG should still be almost full. Run down and notice a path to the right. You'll go through there later. keep going and at the end theres an opening. here you'll find the largest concentration of trolls in this map. I like to let the trolls go up and away from me as far as possible.
Hit skills 8 and 7 and agro as much as possible then as fast as u can quickly hit 6 and 5 then attack with 1,3,2,1,4 this should give a large damage output and for the most part u'll kill the entire group but a few might still have escaped due to scatter due to the repetitive aoe spells. u can use spell 2 and 3 to hit trolls not at Point Blank range and 1 at PB. i've captured a screenie when i killed around 10. notice the drops too:
Keep away from Wind ryders inthe map you can kill everything else. I make a regular 1 K per farm when u identify and sell all weapon drops at merchant and just 2 days ago got a gold sword with a 20/20 armor penetration upgrade which i salvaged and sold for a handsome amount :->

imo not worth the time if they are your average drops.
you can farm ettins just as fast (if not faster.. 6 ettins in approx 12seconds is my record ) and at least they drop runes

Lord cooper is right ettins drop alot more better stuff than any troll.
i farm the ettins that are east of beetletun and then zone the area that leads to right next to the ascalon settlement. I have gotten lots of sup health, absorp, and some of the nice rare prof runes like fire ele or the monk ones.

I farmed ettins for a little over an hour late last week and got a sup healing, 3 crummy golds, 3 major absorptions (worth less than you'd think), about 6 crummy purples, and little else. The Sup Healing obviously made it a good run.
Then I went back a little later, after having collected rewards on one or the other quest to hopefully clear anti-farming code, and got nothing.
It's very unpredictable ...

Armor I use the Pyromancer suit from droks
Weapons i usually use:
sometimes (when i feel like) i switch to this:
I only use it when i'm pulling up the enchantments (cos if it's 20% enchantment mod) then switch back to the wand and artifact.
This however is not crutial in farming sucessfully on jungle trolls or ettins.
i'm a bit lazy to get the wand with a 20% enchant mod ... maybe if i find one in farming...

I think a +5 energy sword (or axe) with 20% enchantments, and a 20/20 fire icon would work the best.

Droks troll tusks are worth more than 20. They sell for 25 technically, but no-one will buy them from you without expecting profit.

Well.... Mountain troll tusks trade in for 125g weapons for 5 of them. So if you trade them in they're worth 25g each. Why do you think you always see people in droks buying them all for 20g each?
